Mission

Our mission is to build and support an international community of inspired youth activist and grass roots projects, dedicated to the defense of basic Human Rights Environmental and Social Justice, Indigenous Peoples Rights and Universal dignity, compassion in all its forms.

On-Q Initiative seeks to bring together a diverse spectrum of individuals with a broad range of strategies, resources, expertise and perspectives and connect them to youth activists and grassroots projects from around the world, while lending celebrity media support.

As the nonprofit organization founded by actress-activist Q’orianka Kilcher, On-Q is actively working on the following initiatives:

Youth for Truth Media

Youth for Truth media Utilizing the power of film, video and independant media to empower the voices of the voiceless.

Dedicated to empower young grassroots environmental leaders and Indigenous youth living on the frontlines of climate change, environmental destruction and globalizations expansion through the use video cameras as strong defense against human rights abuses, environmental destruction, and corporate and government oppression and Lies.

We Provide Video Cameras to young Indigenous youth activists and environmental justice advocates as well as community leaders and communities living in conflict areas where Oil, Gas, Lumber and Mining projects threaten their people’s health, lands and survival.
Youth 4 Truth supports a network of youth driven independent media and media projects throughout the US and internationally and has currently 56 Y4T video cameras rolling in Alaska, Peru , Brazil and Borneo.
Using websites like Youtube , Blogger, Face book, MySpace, Twitter and

Y4T media campaign, we work to amplify the voices of the voiceless and engage in innovative and alternative ways to bring environmental and social justice stories to the attention of the international community while informing the public about news and information, often missing from the corporate media.

 

Bag Lady Bags

 

BLB is a non-profit ‘on-Q initiative’ community project, inspired by the need for more public awareness about the environmental impacts of Plastics, while empowering homeless woman in our communities, in shelters and on the street of America. Through our innovative approach, we strive to provide woman in need not only with fun, creative and meaningful ways to earn a living, but encourage them to come on board as BLB team Members

Bag Lady Bags is a collaborative effort of youth and environmental activists, high schools, celebrities, homeless and domestic abuse shelters and the creative woman who make our bags.

BLB is more than a Handbag line … it’s a grassroots movement and great cause, saving our environment while empowering woman to be self-sufficient and to follow their dreams!

BLB allows homeless mothers, elderly and disabled homeless woman to work at their own pace, while helping them not only earn money, get of the streets and stay of the streets, but also take charge of their future, by becoming a team member, collaborator and part of the BLB community.

BLB is a on-Q initiative’ community project, inspired by the need for a permanent solution to homelessness of woman on the streets and within our communities. We are currently in the outreach and training stages, working directly with homeless woman and woman in homeless and domestic abuse shelters as well as senior citizens who have a need for additional income to prevent homelessness.

Youth Driving Change

Youth Driving Change is all about youth leadership, mentoring and forming alliances with young everyday Heroes and youth groups from around the world who are dedicated to making a positive difference in their communities and/or for others. Youth Driving Change lends back-bone support and funding to international youth volunteers, work camps and grassroots youth initiatives as well as engages and supports youth volunteer groups in real-time disaster relief efforts.
